In Defense of the TSA

I think Insty linked this before the update. Good to know the other side.

  1. That the TSA does some good work behind the scenes makes me wonder why they bother with creating such scenes? Are they the distraction intended to make the terrorists feel "safe" or something?

It sounds a bit like saying the armed robber was a good guy because he never kicked a dog.

    To cover themselves politically.

So people who get assaulted can realize that they are helping catch terrorists by showing terrorists that they have nothing to worry about, while they get their travel destinations cataloged.

When did checking travel destinations require a physical strip search again?

How dumb do you have to be here.

  3. They put out daily reports that I read detailing the past, current, and future travel patterns of terrorists both in CONUS and OCONUS.

Well, obviously the system to catch terrorists is working when you have So Many incidents where the TSA is letting terrorists fly both in CONUS and OCONUS.

    Obviously that must be so.

Seriously, where the F is the no fly list at? If you know they are terrorists, why are you letting them go free while frisking people you know are innocent?

Secret police bullscheisse methods if you ask me.

but I just know the type of valuable information TSA Office of Intelligence puts out

Valuable for intel types getting a promotion isn't the same as valuable for air security. Those two things aren't always linked together like white on rice.
