Perfect Stereotype

The speaker at a conference on diversity, sent to our department today for possible CEU's.

    I have to get CEUs as well but mine are usually along the lines of "Moisture protection of concrete masonry units" etc.

    One wonders if life for some (esp. people born in other countries) is so awful here, why did they leave..and more importantly, why do they stay.

    OK, I think I know. Race/class/gender hustling in a pretty lucrative racket. Besides, back in the "old" country, they would be treated ever so much worse.

    More that she saw an opportunity- make a career out of affirmative action/"racial justice" and ran with it.

    The fault is not with her, but in us, that she was able to do so.

    Of course, "racial justice" in India, with very strong remnants of milennia-old caste system, is an entirely different matter.
