It seems to be ok that police and firemen need to take some risks because it is their duty (pace Calvin Coolidge), but others don't feel the same need. By having government be responsible for everything in theory, you can get your self off the hook. People benefit by being asked to be responsible and take some risks for the general welfare.

For COVID this lost sense of responsibility to keep society moving contributed greatly to the sense of fear and helplessness in the public. dmoellinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13128088863830769762noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19305198.post-68087121272858249752021-02-10T22:47:55.479-05:002021-02-10T22:47:55.479-05:00"cares about people like me"
arrggghhh.... "cares about people like me"

arrggghhh. I hate that phrase. I'd rather vote for the guy who promises to "leave people like me alone". Even if I wanted a politician to care about "people" it wouldn't be those like me. It would be like those I love and care about and none of them are "like me" except that they might like to be left alone too.

Ignore me. I've been grumpy all month. Maybe more than a month.Donna B.https://www.blogger.com/profile/16771075314473811594noreply@blogger.com
