We really like the idea that we decide to do the right thing because of our self-wonderfulness.Assistant Village Idiothttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01978011985085795099noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19305198.post-20321432351649810892013-02-10T13:33:49.415-05:002013-02-10T13:33:49.415-05:00There is actually much thought being given to &quo...There is actually much thought being given to "gamification." in marketing, education and other fields where persuasion, engagement, learning and engagement are important. Building websites, business models, lesson plans, etc around the building blocks of games (such as keeping score, etc) invites a higher level of involvement. I think that would be a mixed result rather than a pure negative, though. People would take an interest in writing books who might not have otherwise considered it. Crappy or not, that leads to some reflection about the elements of story and the difficulty in completing one.Assistant Village Idiothttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01978011985085795099noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-19305198.post-89403875617779162582013-02-09T12:24:05.358-05:002013-02-09T12:24:05.358-05:00If this were widely adopted, it would incentivize ...If this were widely adopted, it would incentivize authors to create crappy books engineered to level up as many categories as possible.Glowing Face Manhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07717328290680086281noreply@blogger.com
